Atherton Colls 4 Abbey Hey 2: NICKY Fisher's first hat-trick for Atherton Collieries helped them to their first win in seven NW Counties League First Division matches.
The striker was in inspired form as Colls picked up a much-needed win against fellow strugglers Abbey Hey.
Fisher gave his side the lead in the 25th minute after a slow start to the match. He then added a second three minutes later with a powerful drive.
Beni Haim pulled one back for Abbey Hey just after half-time with a penalty, but Steven Hughes restored Collieries' two-goal lead in the 65th minute. And even though Peter Wall set the home side's nerves jangling with a second Abbey Hey goal 10 minutes from the end, Fisher completed his hat-trick to leave the home fans smiling.
