I MUST apologise to correspondent Mr Kaiserman (October 19); he is, indeed, quite right on one point. The TV documentary, The Secret Agent, did go out after the elections and not before as I stated. There was no intention to mislead, and I apologise for my mistake.

However, my point remains the same. Channel 4 were stopped by Yorkshire police from showing a documentary about Asian crime gangs in Yorkshire in case it influenced the elections, but every bit of BBC bias and anti-BNP propaganda was allowed to be shown.

So what happened to democracy? And, anyway, there was so much hype about The Secret Agent prior to the elections that it might as well have been broadcast!

As for the rest of his observations, they were based on articles published by national newspapers who are renowned for exaggerating stories. People will have to choose whether to believe it or not.

If Mr Kaiserman would like to meet any of our BNP organisers or members, then we would happily accommodate him. I would like to show him how utterly wrong he is about us.

MRS AUSTIN
