DAVE Sharples will have had a keen eye on the weather forecast ahead of tonight's trip to Thornaby.
The Great Harwood manager was not confident that their FA Vase first round clash would kick-off at the second attempt, after missing out due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday.
But Sharples admitted that it would not be a problem if they didn't have to travel to the north east tonight.
"I've spoken to the secretary at Thornaby and he said the game still might be in doubt, depending on whether it rains again today," he said.
"Our only doubt for tonight is Paul Mashiter, who is struggling to get away from work on time. The rest of the lads are available, but if the game is off it would be carried over to this Saturday, so I'm sure they'd rather travel then than midweek."
The weekend postponement was good news for Paul Goldthorpe, who has been allowed a few extra days to recover from knee ligament damage which has kept him sidelined since the third game of the season against Congleton.
Andrew Taylor, who has been sidelined with an ankle problem, should also be available if the game goes ahead tonight. If the Robins win, they will have a home tie with Billingham Town on November 20, kick-off 3pm.
Any Great Harwood supporters who intend to go to tonight's game should contact Thornaby before travelling.
