SHOCK plans to make more than half the workforce at a Blackburn textile machinery factory, redundant were revealed.
Engineering union leader Walter Worswick said up to 83 workers at British Northrop could be hit by the cutbacks.
Bosses said they were trying to save as many jobs as possible but did not give an explanation why the redundancies were necessary.
