AN Accrington mum-of-four faced a return to prison after refusing to pay her poll tax.
The woman had been given a 44-day jail term over the debt to Hyndburn Council and had served eight days in prison the previous year, but was released on bail pending a High Court review of her case.
But Justice Owen told the court because she had failed to take the correct steps to complete her judicial review application, he had no choice but to discharge her bail.
The woman was told to pay up or face going back to prison.
