RESIDENTS in Ramsbottom are invited to the first ever Annual Tenants' Conference that is set to be staged staged next month.
Bury Council is to hold the conference on Tuesday, November 2, at the Village Hotel, Bury in a bid to give some of its 9,000 tenants the opportunity to let the council know what their priorities are and how the council can improve the housing service.
There will be guest speakers, workshops, exhibition stands, lunch and refreshments. Everyone attending will be entered into a free prize draw with the chance of winning a DVD player, luxury food hamper or champagne.
Councillor Steve Perkins, Bury Council's executive member for regeneration and housing, said: "The council is determined to communicate more effectively with its tenants and this event will be an opportunity for some of them to come and talk to us and find out a bit more about the service."
Anyone interested in attending the event should contact the council's Tenant and Community Participation team on 0161 253 7565 to book a place.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
