AFTER seven years compiling a family tree, Julian Dixon is itching to extend his search.
Mr Dixon (33), from Chelmsford, Essex, is hoping Radcliffe Times readers can come to the rescue as he has reached a standstill with his family family in Radcliffe. His great-great grandfather, Henry George Dixon, married Elizabeth Hannah Lomax, and it is the Lomax side of his family that Mr Dixon is interested in finding out more about.
In 1881, Elizabeth was 16 and lived in Diggle Street with her brother, Joseph, who was ten. She also had an older brother, John, aged 18, and a sister Ellen (16), who lived in Pilkington Street with her parents, James and Ellen Lomax. When Elizabeth married Henry they moved south before 1900, but Mr Dixon is hoping that members of the Lomax family are still in the local area or readers may know them and/or their whereabouts.
