A BLACKBURN prisoner made a daring break for freedom, but was recaptured hours later.
The 39-year-old man fled Parkhurst Prison in the Isle of Wight while with an outside working party six miles from the prison walls.
The "trusted prisoner" was serving seven years for attempted pavilion breaking at Khartoum and had just six months of his sentence to complete.
