IN reply to Brenda Anthony (LET, October 20), Iraq had no biological weapons. What it had, it destroyed years ago after the first Gulf War. This was verified by UN weapons inspectors before the illegal invasion.
The woman to whom she refers is a real person with a name. It is a crude slur to refer to her as 'Dr Germ.'
Britain invented germ warfare and has never been averse to testing its toxins on its own unsuspecting loyal subjects.
There are people suffering today from tests done at Porton Down and the army personnel with Gulf War Syndrome are the victims of similar experimentation done without their consent.
Britain is heavily armed with WMD. Iraq has none.
If the Iraqi people had overthrown Sadam Hussein in a revolution, Britain and the USA would not have supported it because it would have left them without control over Iraq's oil and other natural resources. That is why Britain and the USA are in Iraq -- to rob the Iraqi people.
In Nepal, the people are close to seizing power from their oppressive rulers. The British Labour government is arming the feudal monarchy to prevent its overthrow.
Labour cares nothing for freedom and democracy anywhere in the world.
