NORTH West Air Ambulance is calling on all former patients to get in touch and help raise both cash and the charitys profile.
With no mainstream funding, the regional medical air emergency service requires £75,000 per month to maintain its operations.
A s part of Operation Alfie, the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) will visit six locations in the north west on November 2 and 3. It will include a landing at Wythenshawe Hospital at 2.30pm on November 2.
Lynda Brislin, chief executive of NWAA, says: "So far this year NWAA has rescued more than 500 people and we would really like any former patients to be involved in this event. They are testimony to the success and importance of the service."
Former patients who would like to register their support can call the Operation Alfie hotline on 0161 929 8700.
