A PRESTWICH woman has been made the subject of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) after hurling racist abuse at shopworkers.
Alison Elizabeth May Thompson (42), of Roman Road, Rainsough, appeared at Bury Magistrates Court on Tuesday where she was issued with an order to last two years.
The court was told that Thompson, who has a criminal conviction for racially aggravated criminal damage in connection with the same incident, entered a store in Rainsough on September 1 and racially abused staff.
Thompson had been barred from the shop by staff for threatening and abusive behaviour.
She returned in September, abused shopworkers, and spat on the sweets display. When Thompson left the shop, she kicked the wooden panels on the building.
Thompson was convicted of racially aggravated criminal damage at Bury Magistrates on October 4 where she received a 12-month Community Rehabilitation Order.
The ASBO prohibits Thompson from approaching, threatening, intimidating or communicating directly or indirectly with any of the witnesses identified and bans her from the convenience store.
