WHITEFIELD bowler Graham Keating broke the mould this year when he became the first man to win the Evans Cup for the second year in succession.
It's an amazing fact considering the prestigious local authority-run competition has been going since 1922.
In the final he defeated Jim Hough 21-12 on the lower green at Openshaw Park, Bury.
But his biggest test came at the semi-final stage when he narrowly saw off the challenge of Neville McWilliams 21-20.
