A PRESTON man has become the first to be banned from off-licences in Lostock Hall and Middleforth under the Off Watch Scheme for selling alcohol to three underage people.
The 18-year-old was issued with a £40 fixed penalty notice by police after buying 12 cans of lager for the trio at Smith's Off-Licence, Linden Drive, Lostock Hall on October 8.
They were confiscated after police saw the three, aged 14,15 and 16, drinking the alcohol on Rosemead Avenue. PC Nigel Baker said: "This is another example of the success we are having with this scheme and the zero tolerance approach the police are taking."
