A BURNLEY couple who fell in love with a cat and her four kittens on a Spanish holiday were facing financial ruin after bringing them back home on the plane.
Roofer Pat Feeney and his wife Alex took pity on the cats in Lanzarote. But the couple were found guilty of contravening the Rabies Act and fined £500. They were also told to find £1,675 in kennel fees if they were to keep the cats after their six-month quarantine time was up.
