NOMINATIONS to reward "environmental champions" throughout the borough will close this weekend.
October 31 is the official expiry for nominations ahead of Groundwork Burys seventh annual dinner and awards event to be staged at the Longfield Suite, Prestwich, on Thursday, December 2.
Groundwork Bury aims to recognise the success and achievements that have been carried out borough-wide in businesses, schools and local communities.
The awards are divided into different categories in order to ensure a wide range of achievements is recognised.
These will embrace school environmental projects to energy, water and waste management.
Groundwork also rewards outstanding individuals for both business and community.
Last years event was a huge success, recognising local businesses and individuals and raising almost £1,000 for the mayor's charities.
