BURNLEY could pocket as much as £175,000 from their televised Carling Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur next month.
Both the Clarets and Spurs receive a whopping £100,000 from Sky from broadcasting rights.
And with both teams getting 45 per cent of the net gate receipts (the remaining 10 per cent being placed in a general pot for equal distribution among all league clubs at a later date), the Clarets should net a further £75,000 on the night as a result of an average crowd.
Boss Steve Cotterill said: "It's absolutely terrific and just what we wanted. You look back now, and I don't mean this disrespectfully, but you can see how important the Bury game was in the first round.
"To get through that, with the size of our squad was crucial and then you thank the players for the 120 minutes they gave us against Wolves, and for keeping their nerve in the penalties.
"Everybody knows about their efforts against Aston Villa the other night and this is our reward.
"We're playing a fantastic club in Tottenham, and we're really looking forward to that.
Cotterill added: "We've just got to make sure we spend the money on the right things now.
"It's vitally important that we don't spend it stupidly and spend it in the right areas.
"That may be Gawthorpe, or the technical area near our dugout - because we're beginning to need wellies over there!
"But there's quite a few things we've got our eye on that will benefit the football club today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year and in five years time."
