A MASKED gang stole cash after threatening a security guard with knives.
Four men, all wearing balaclavas, struck as the guard was delivering money to a post office on Car Bank Street, Atherton.
The men demanded money, threatening to slash the victim if he did not hand over cash boxes.
He was then struck by what police have described as a bladed instrument and suffered a minor injury.
Following the robbery, at 11am Friday morning, the four men escaped in a black Range Rover, which was found abandoned on Railway Street, Atherton, shortly afterwards.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery or who has any information about the offenders is asked to contact CID at Leigh on 0161 856 7253 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
