HEREFORD 2 RADCLIFFE BORO 1: STEVE Foster's late goal gave Radcliffe Borough hope but they could not quite pull off an FA Cup fourth qualifying round upset at Edgar Street.
Kevin Glendon's Unibond Premier Division side did themselves proud against Conference high-fliers Hereford.
Borough fell behind in the 32nd minute, when former Bradford and Portsmouth star Lee Mills tapped in from close range after Danny Hurst had made a full-length save.
Hurst kept Radcliffe in the game with some superb saves, but could do nothing to prevent Hereford doubling their lead in the 65th minute. Simon Travis sidefooted home to put them 2-0 up.
Borough did not give up, and were rewarded eight minutes from the end when Foster struck, but it was not enough.
