IWAS very impressed to see the drawing of our proposed £9million four-lane bridge on the front page of the LET.
Unfortunately the artist neglected to add all the traffic lights, speed humps, mini-roundabouts, lane narrowing and every combination of white and yellow lines that one can imagine, in order for us to be able to sit in stationary traffic for drawn out lengths of time to which we have become accustomed.
Another thing they seem to have omitted is the regular obstacle of "cars for sale" parked on the side of the road, placed there by some of our unscrupulous second-hand car dealers posing as private sellers in order to evade paying any business rates or taxes.
Perhaps one of our highly skilled planners can amend the drawing to enable us to envisage what it will actually be like.
