P. KAISERMAN (Letters, October 19) says that £38.96 is paid weekly to out-of-work asylum-seekers yet he fails to mention free furnished accommodation, heating, lighting, water, colour TV and licence, council tax and, in some cases, free driving lessons and test, motor tax and maybe even road tax.
