REGARDING the Compulsory Purchase Order on Minden Medical Centre, the important issues are as follows:
Easy access to the medical centre is important for my husband and myself and for all the other patients. It is a facility we want to keep.
Disabled patients should not be required to cross a road to get to the medical centre.
It is not acceptable that the council's priority is to be given to shops, to enable parking outside their doors, while our medical centre is about to have its parking removed. It is very unsafe!
There are more than enough shops and retail parks - maybe even too many - in Bury. I think the Minden Medical Centre should not be the subject of a CPO as it provides a vital public service, far more so than a few more new shops.
