LANCASHIRE is seventh in an 'anti-yob' table showing the number of Anti Social Behaviour Orders.
A total of 95 ASBOs have been issued in the county since 1999 - more than nine times the number in bottom placed county, Wiltshire, which has issued 10.
ASBOs were introduced by the Home Office to give police and the courts the power to come down hard on street crime. Persistent offenders are made subject of the orders to ensure they behave and face jail if they don't.
Greater Manchester has had the biggest crackdown on yobs with a total of 422 ASBOs in the last five years - way ahead of second place Greater London with 199.
