BLACKBURN'S new JJB Soccer Dome will open with a bang - giving the public a sneak preview and a free firework display on Bonfire Night.
An official opening ceremony takes place at 5pm on Friday, and later in the evening visitors can look around the facility, at Haslingden Road, Guide, which includes 11 football pitches, a fitness club and swimming pool.
JJB founder and ex-Blackburn Rovers left-back Dave Whelan will open the dome with help from his former team-mates Bryan Douglas and Ronnie Clayton and two of the club's current stars, Barry Ferguson and Paul Gallagher.
Mr Whelan said: "This project will be a credit to Blackburn, Burnley and the East Lancashire area in general."
