THE Brownies are busy preparing their stall for the church's Christmas Market, and also for their Children in Need coffee evening on Wednesday, November 24. The coffee evening will have all the usual stalls, such as bric-a-brac, cakes, toys and books. Any donations would be appreciated and can be taken to the Brownie meetings on Wednesday or Thursday evenings, or left in the back of the church in a clearly marked bag.
All the girls from the Wednesday Brownie Pack have completed their crime prevention badge. The four newest Brownies have also completed their agility badge, and several have completed their friend to animals badge. It is hoped the Brownies will be presented with their badges at the Church Parade in December.
THE church will not be open for 'open doors' on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons during winter months. The main door will also remain locked on Saturdays.
BURNLEY Football Club chief executive Dave Edmundson will talk about the club and a lifetime in sport at the Men's Group meeting on Tuesday. Everyone is welcome.
BONFIRE Night for the Rainbows will take place on Saturday at Dyneley Stables and the proceeds from food sales will be divided between Riding for the Disabled and Rainbows.
THE Wine Circle will hold a Domino Evening at their meeting on Monday.
THE Parish Council will meet next Tuesday at 7.45pm in the Reading Rooms.
