BONFIRE Night goodies including traditional gingerbread and treacle toffee plus a free tombola will be on offer to a select band of people at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary tomorrow (Friday).
The gifts from the National Blood Service will go to anyone who turns up to give blood at the hospital.
The special Bonfire Night 'fun and frolics' aim to thank blood and platelet donors for taking time out to help save and improve the lives of patients across the region.
The infirmary's blood donor centre will be open from 9.15 am to 3:30pm.
Blood service spokesman Rachel Roberts says: "Giving blood only takes about an hour, but we want to make sure everyone who spends an hour giving blood this Bonfire Night has fun.
"The demand for blood never stops so please make a special effort to go along."
Potential blood donors must be aged between 17 and 60, weigh more than 50 kg (7stone 12lb) and in general good health.
For more information on giving blood, or to book an appointment, call 08457-711711 or visit www.blood.co.uk.
