LEIGH Athletic's poor recent run continued as they went down 3-2 to East Manchester despite dominating for much of the game.
Goals from Phil Sheehan and Scott Lewis gave Leigh a 2-1 lead going into the the last 15 minutes but East Manchester equalised and went on to win the game with a dubious penalty in the dying minutes.
The reserves won a keenly contested game 3-2 against Irlam MS to move into third spot in the table.
Matt Wilkinson fired Leigh ahead with a terrific long-range finish before Neil Clayton made it two. Irlam responded with two goals to level before Adam Wilkinson headed home a deserved winner.
The third team also moved into third place after a comfortable 2-0 win over Heywood. Chris Blood and Jason Pennington were on target.
