TRAFFIC police are preparing to give a talk to Ramsbottom residents after fears were raised over speeding traffic.
Greater Manchester Police traffic unit will be giving the presentation at the next meeting of the Ramsbottom, Tottington and North Manor Area Board on Tuesday, November 16.
The talk will be about the criteria for installation of speed cameras.
Area board chairman Councillor Dorothy Gunther said: "Speeding traffic is a regular feature at the Area Board and this presentation will be very welcome."
There will also be a short presentation by Bury Council's Lifelong Learning team on the future plans for Ramsbottom Library and Adult Education Provision. Ramsbottom library is to due close early next year for major refurbishment which will include facilities for classes and courses.
In addition there will be the usual 45 minute "Open Forum" where members of the public can raise any local issues or matters of concern. There will also be updates on local policing, highways issues, youth service and the area co-ordinator's report.
The meeting is at Christchurch and Neighbourhood Centre, Great Eaves Road, Ramsbottom, at 7pm.
