A ROADSHOW for older people living in the Lowton and Golborne area is being held from 1.30 to 4 pm on Friday, November 12 at the LINC Centre in Worsley Street, Golborne.
Organised by Wigan Borough's Over 50s Forum the event aims to bring young and old together as older residents join high school pupils and will feature:
Art and written work presented by local children on how they value older people
An inter-generational quiz and discussions on issues and opportunities facing old and young in the area
A prize raffle and free tea, biscuits and scones will be available.
Mayor Councellor John Hilton together with local MP, Andy Burnham and Louise Sutton, Assistant Director of Wigan Social Services will also attend.
