LEIGH RMI captain Karl Rose has been nominated for The FA's prestigious FA Cup "Player of the Round" award after his fourth qualifying round heroics.

Rose's 75th minute penalty and inspirational leadership, despite sustaining a head injury at half-time, steered Leigh RMI to a shock 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley, earning an FA Cup first round tie against Cambridge City.

But before then, Leigh RMI fans are being urged to voice their support for Rose by voting in an on-line poll at www.TheFA.com Fans have just seven days to register their support as votes must be cast by 9.00am on Monday, November 8.
