RAMSBOTTOM, Totttington and North Manor Area Board is to be brought up to speed on local issues when it meets this month.
In response to concerns about speeding motorists, Greater Manchester Police traffic unit will be giving a presentation on the criteria necessary to install speed cameras in the area.
There will also be a presentation by Bury Councils lifelong learning team on the future plans for Ramsbottom Library and adult education provision.The town's library is due to close early next year for major refurbishment which will include new facilities for classes and courses.
There will be the usual open forum, where other matters of local concern can be raised.
Chairman of the area board, Coun Dorothy Gunther said: "Speeding traffic is a regular feature at the area board and this presentation will be very welcome."
The meeting takes place on Tuesday, November 16 at Great Eaves Road, Ramsbottom, starting at 7pm.
