A TEENAGER indecently assaulted a 12-year-old girl in a Burnley park.
The youngster was with boys in Thompson Park on Wednesday afternoon when she was enticed away by the youth, aged around 16, shortly after 4.30pm.
He was also with friends, but told his companions to leave the pair alone together near the bandstand. The girl was then molested.
She ran off and told her friends what had happened and they contacted the police.
Her attacker was Asian, slim, with dark, short, gelled and spiked hair.
He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and cream shoes.
He was with three other boys, all of mixed race. One was aged 11, wearing a white baseball cap, blue hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
The other 11-year-old had blond streaks in his hair and was wearing a black cardigan, blue jeans and cream shoes.
The third youth had black hair and was wearing a short black cardigan, jeans and trainers.
Anyone with information should contact Det Sgt Derry Crorken on 01282 472240.
