JOE ROYLE has warned his high-flying Ipswich side to expect another tough test at Turf Moor.

Town needed a stoppage time goal at Portman Road three weeks ago to deny the Clarets all three points.

And boss Royle has called for an early goal to avoid going through another frustrating 90 minutes tomorrow.

He said: "The players are flying after following up the win over Preston with five goals against Sheffield United.

"We are in fine fettle but we know that it will be difficult against Burnley. We saw at our place that they are pretty dogged and they do what they do well.

"They won't change their attitude towards us even though they are at home. They will be playing to soak up pressure and hit us on the break, so it is important for us to get an early goal to draw them out a bit.

"We don't want to be hammering away as we were at Portman Road for 90 minutes to get a late goal."

Royle's disparaging remarks following the first encounter are sure to stoke Burnley up for another repeat performance.

And with two big results under their belts since that last meeting, Royle expects Steve Cotterill's side to fancy their own chances of stopping the Tractor Boys in their tracks.

He added: "Burnley had a big result at Leeds in midweek and a good result against Aston Villa in the Carling Cup so they are no mugs. They will be cock-a-hoop and will fancy their chances against us.

"There are no easy games in this league and everyone can beat everyone, so we must be on our guard."

Key midfielder Kevin Horlock is already eyeing top spot as Town, now unbeaten in their last nine games, chase current league leaders Wigan.

He said: "It has been a good start to the season and we would love to be top. Wigan are going well, but we are on their heels and chasing them, plus we still have to play them twice.

"Hopefully we can get a good result at Burnley and keep the pressure up."
