MANAGER John Hughes is calling for the fans to be patient as his side look to make it four games unbeaten at Warrington Town tomorrow.
Two league draws have sandwiched a 5-1 thrashing of Woodley Sports in the UniBond League Challenge Cup, and victory tomorrow will take the Magpies above their opponents in Division One.
And the three games without defeat has convinced Hughes that the supporters could be about to witness a much-needed upturn in fortunes.
He said: "The main thing I want is the people who come to watch to get behind these lads.
"We're not hoofing it, we're trying to get it down and play football. The average age of the team is 22 so we're learning.
"The curve has got be quick and we are adjusting to it, we just need to keep playing like we have been and keep working hard."
Hughes hopes to name an unchanged squad at Warrington, and is likely to give Lee Pennington another week before he returns from injury.
