A 32-year-old Radcliffe man is to face sentence at crown court for an assault on Valentine's Day.
Sean Darraugh, of Haworth Walk, punched Edward Christie to the ground as he walked along a street in Cockermouth, Cumbria, after he thought the man had said something to his children, a court heard.
The bench at West Allendale and Keswick Magistrates Court remanded Darraugh in custody to await sentence at Carlisle Crown Court for the offence of assault, causing actual bodily harm. The bench said their powers were insufficient.
