GREATER Manchester Ambulance Service is among the best prepared in Britain to cope with a major terrorist attack.
More than 375 frontline staff have so far been trained to deal with chemical, biological or radiological incidents.
Protective clothing and equipment has also been supplied to staff and partner organisations who are regularly given refresher training. The service's ranking as one of the best prepared was revealed by Government science and technology chiefs during a review of the emergency services' ability to deal with major incidents.
