SCHOOLGIRL Danielle Rend wowed a crowd of thousands on Friday night when she sang live on stage with pop diva Anastacia.
The eight-year-old from Atherton performed alongside the superstar at the MEN Arena after winning a radio competition.
Danielle was invited on stage to sing Anastacia's One Day in Your Life, alongside another fan, from Middlesbrough. The contest was judged to be a tie by the pop diva.
The youngster showed no nerves, despite singing to a sell-out crowd of about 15,000 people.
Anastacia took a shine to Danielle, who attends St Peter and Paul's Primary School, Daubhill, and told the audience she thought the youngster was "cute."
Danielle entered Century FM's Anastacia Idol competition two weeks ago and won a heat on Wednesday when she sang Left Outside Alone at the Trafford Centre.
Mum, Edwina Rend, of Cumberland Road, Atherton, said Danielle entered Century FM's Anastacia Idol competition two weeks ago and won a daily heat last Thursday when she sang 20 seconds of Left Outside Alone down the telephone. She was the youngest finalist, taking on women aged in their 20s and 30s.
