A PRESTWICH man went on a mini-damage spree during an argument with his girlfriend.
In a fit of temper, self-employed salesman Paul Oakes damaged a fire and smashed a bottle of beer at the home of his girlfriend in Openshaw.
Oakes (35), of Windsor Road, Prestwich, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
He admitted a charge of criminal damage and told Manchester magistrates "We had a couple of drinks and things got a little bit more heated than usual".
