PEOPLE have differing ways to combat the yobbish behaviour of the youth of today. I blame the government, not just the government of the day but of the past as well. They have taken too much notice of so-called do-gooders.

Disciplinary powers have been taken away from parents, police and teachers. Now nobody can do any good with the youth of today without the threat of court or most likely prison.

Some readers say bring back national service. What a good idea. The services would teach discipline and provide work experience for when they return to civilian life.

Also it would help the government by paying the youths to do some good for the country and not to just sit back and think what more trouble they can get into.
