THREE teenage robbers have been jailed after carrying out a violent attack at Bury Interchange's car park.

Jason Boswell (17), of Prescott Close, Paul Hardman (15), of Topping Fold Lane, and Aron Cooper (15), of Renshaw Drive, all Bury, pleaded guilty to the offence at Bury Magistrates Court on October 21.

Last Thursday, they were each sentenced to ten months in jail Magistrates lifted reporting restrictions which normally prevent juveniles being named. The youths were also convicted of a string of other offences.

The robbery took place on April 14 at the Bury Interchange car park when an 18-year-old from Radcliffe was approached by the three thugs who demanded money before assaulting him and stealing his moped.

The victim was punched and kicked to the ground and sustained cuts and bruises.

The moped was later recovered by police after being sold in Heywood.

In total, Cooper was jailed for 20 months, after he was convicted of a second robbery, for which he was given an extra 10-month term.

Boswell also ordered to serve 20 months in jail after receiving an extra 10 months for two burglaries and aggravated taking of property without the owner's consent.

Hardman also pleaded guilty to intimidating a witness after the robbery and had a further eight months added to his ten-month jail sentence. He was also sentenced to four months for a public order offence, but that was allowed to run concurrently.

Boswell and Hardman were made the subject of four-year Anti-Social Behaviour Orders while Cooper had already been given a two-year ASBO.
