SHAKERS have a break from the bread and butter of Coca Cola League Two at the weekend when Nationwide Conference North outfit Vauxhall Motors visit Gigg Lane in the first round of the FA Cup.

It's a game that could have a massive bearing on the club's fortunes as they bid to embark on a long-overdue moneyspinning cup run, a fact not lost on the newcomer.

"We all know that it could be a big banana skin," said goalkeeper Andy Marriott.

"They have beaten Football League opposition before but we have to view it as an opportunity to win a game and launch ourselves on another good run.

"We'll just go out and do a professional job and hopefully class will tell on the day."
