SHAKERS' boss Graham Barrow wants his side to end their barren goalscoring run as soon as possible.

And he reckons it's a job for all the team, not just his strikers.

The Gigg Lane men have only scored two goals in their last four outings, and Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Cheltenham Town was their second successive game without finding the net.

It's a malaise that Barrow is keen to nip in the bud as quickly as possible, and he has called upon the whole side to up the scoring rate.

"Without criticising anyone in particular I don't think we've threatened the goal enough in our last three games," he said.

"We need midfielders and defenders, as well as the strikers, to get us something from set pieces and open play.

"They need to be a bit braver, you cant be killed on a football pitch, only hurt, and pain is only for a while.

"To be fair, thats what Chris Porter did on Saturday when we should have had a penalty. He won a good header and took a whack and deserved something for that.

"We have one or two things to work on because for the positions we were getting in during the first half at Cheltenham we didnt give their goalkeeper enough to do.

"In certain areas we didnt do enough to win the game."

It was a familiar away game tale of woe at Whaddon Road, with the Shakers seeing plenty of the ball but not reaping their reward in the goals-scored column.

The Robins rarely created anything and in truth the game had 0-0 written all over it until they were awarded a dubious penalty.

"On our performance I felt we should have made the most of our first half display, it was similar to a lot of our away performances, added Barrow.

"It disappoints me because we are just a little too nice at times.

"You can sometimes pinch a game 1-0 away from home, but we were denied by the referee this time.

"We were more than comfortable at 0-0 and I thought wed kick on and get a win until that happened."
