LONG standing members of the Bury and District Golf Association, Harwood Golf Club, have had a number of successes in recent months.
Rita Towler emerged the Bury Ladies Champion in a tournament played at Lowes Park, and Vicky Boyes won the Sally Crompton Trophy at Walmersley.
The Rotary Bowl, played at Rossendale, was won with a team comprising: Wendy Howard (lady president), Lesley Lund, Judith Simms and Sharon Hilton.
The Bury Ladies Foursomes, played on their home course, was won by Harwoods Sue Lee (lady captain) and Pauline Barlow.
While the Colin Snapes Salvers (Mixed Trophy), played at Pike Fold, was won by Sue in tandem with Ian Meads.
