A HUGE fundraising drive has been launched to help send a sick Rossendale youngster on a holiday of a lifetime to Disneyland in Florida.
Friends of six-year-old Connor Hurst, who is facing a double life-saving transplant operation, are set to launch a calendar featuring cute pictures of children in the Valley.
Connor has been put on a waiting list for a liver and bowel transplant after he was born with his bowel on the outside of his body.
The youngster has undergone more than 30 operations to ensure he gets the nutrients and fats he needs to stay alive.
The calendar is to be funded through sponsorship and help from Bacup hairdressers Stone.
Those behind the project hope the calendar will generate around £5,000.
Family friend Angela Collier, of Newchurch Road, Stacksteads, is spearheading the campaign. She said: "Connor deserves a better quality of life and to have something nice happen.
"As well as the holiday it would be nice to get him a battery-powered jeep for Christmas because he can't walk very far."
