A BLACKBURN man is furious after 13 bin bags of household waste, together with other debris dumped by fly-tippers, has been left festering close to his home for several weeks.
Roy Richardson, of Hillside Close, has criticised Blackburn with Darwen Council after having to put up with rubbish dumped outside his home for over a month.
But he claims his complaints to Blackburn with Darwen Council to clean up the problem have been ignored.
Mr Richardson called the waste "a health hazard".
He added: "For the last six months we have had problems with rubbish.
"However, the council is not interested in keeping it clean."
He said it was not known who was dumping the rubbish, but complained that there had been no street cleaner to sweep up the road for months.
Director of direct services for Blackburn with Darwen Council, Peter Hunt said: "We have no record of this recent complaint on our Thrash the Trash hotline.
"However, we have visited the man's home and left him some contact details so that we can discuss his complaint and make arrangements for it to be sorted."
The council's multi-million pound Thrash the Trash clean-up campaign was launched in May to bolster it's cleaning operations.
