WITH reference to Friday night's LET "False hope over homes slammed."
I think it should be Councillor Kate Hollern and her party that should be accused of "playing political football with people's emotions."
Did they look at all the options before this so-called executive board's decision to demolish 150 homes in the Redearth Road area of Darwen?
Was it done with a full council meeting with votes instead of seven or eight people taking this decision?
I thought this was a democrat country where all sides are heard. I suppose this executive board would also vote for this proposal of moving the bus station next to the market to Wellington Fold in Darwen.
If they want this new Darwen Academy near the town centre why don't they build it on the Belgrave mill site instead of where they plan to build it after they known down 150 homes?
It is mind-boggling how the people you think will look after things and say they are working on your behalf get carried away with power and control like this council. So I do hope the people of Redearth Road area fight and win.
