In Whitefield, Stand All Saints Church will be the venue for a family service at 10am led by guest vicar Rev Frank Bibby.
Two minutes silence will take place in church, followed by a procession along Church Lane to the war memorial on the corner of Church Lane and Higher Lane.
Wreaths will be laid at Unsworth Pole in a ceremony at 11am after the traditional church service at St Georges, which starts at 9.45am. Canon Ralph Mallinson will conduct the service.
