A WOMAN was trapped inside her car after it overturned on the main road in Cliviger.
Firefighters from Burnley and the Incident Support Unit from Accrington helped free the middle-aged woman from her Ford Fiesta at 11.23pm last night after the car lost control on the wet Burnley Road, going towards Todmorden.
Station Officer Chris Hollis said the woman was spared serious injury by her seatbelt. He said: "The woman was upside down and being held in place by her seatbelt. If she hadn't had it on, I'm sure she would have been thrown out of the vehicle."
