AFTER lighting-up Leigh Centurions' rugby league season Grand Final hero Neil Turley will kick-off the festive season by switching on the town's Christmas illuminations.
On November 25 man of the moment Neil will assume the role of Santa to do the honours at Leigh Town Hall when he'll be joined on the balcony by Alex Murphy and Deputy Mayor Cllr Brian Jarvis.
Cllr Jarvis, who as leader of Leigh Town Centre Manager Group has played a major role in Leighs Christmas spectacular, said: "Neil has been chosen to perform the switch-on in recognition of Leigh Centurions magnificent season and Neil's outstanding contribution in the Grand Final where he was the man of the match.
"I'm sure it will get us set for a Super Leigh Christmas."
