This year's festive blockbuster, Veer Zaara, re-unites Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan in a romantic saga spanning the borders.
Veer Pratap Singh and Zaar Hayaat Khan find themselves trapped across the Indian/Pakistani divide. While they are head over heals in love with each other their situation leaves them helpless.
This 'situation' though doesn't stop the two from meeting because for them love is everything.
Saamiya (Rani Mukerji) plays th Pakistani lawyer trying her utmost to re-unite the two.
Whilst many Bollywood films which feature Pakistan and Indian characters tend to have political undertones, here director Yash Chopra tries to focus more on the love story. A difficult task at anytime in Indian Pakistani relations but Yash is a master of homing in on the emotions of his characters.
On top of all that the soundtrack is already selling vey well and as long as you have great music you have yourself a great movie! Wee, most of the time anyway.
VEER ZAARA Stars : Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Amitabh Bachchan and is directed by : Yash Chopra
