DAVE Hall wants more from his players as they take to the field against Chadderton tomorrow, not necessarily in terms of effort, but more self belief.
The Blues have struggled to win in the league recently but did secure a 4-1 win over Division One side Great Harwood on Tuesday night in the Lancashe FA Marsden Trophy.
"It was no surprise to me because we've been playing very well lately without getting the results," said Hall.
"I felt the key was the return of Martin Brown, who has been important to us this season. He's missed the last five weeks through injury but just stepped straight back in and was excellent.
"Even though the results haven't been going our way confidence hasn't been a problem, but they should have more belief in themselves and their ability.
"If they had as much confidence in their ability as I have in them then we'd be killing teams off and getting exactly what we deserve from games."
Hall faces a selection dilemma this weekend with a fully fit 16- man squad available, but it's not a luxury he enjoys.
"I can only pick 14 so it's difficult because some players will be left out who have done nothing wrong," he said.
"In one way it would be better if we had a smaller squad because then no one would be left out, but the situation does keep the players on their toes."
